Manager's Note I hope everyone enjoyed the Commodore's Ball, I know I did. The Band, the food, everything was great. I never received any complaints, so I guess it went well. I wish to thank Mrs. Leigh MacConnell on behalf of the Biloxi Yacht Club for her donation of the Grand Ballroom in the Broadwater East. I would also like to thank Mrs. Sarah Pitalo for all her hard work in making the table cloths for the dining room and lounge area. I wish to thank everyone who cooked and donated their time and money to making Monday Night Football a success. Thank You Phillip J. Guichet |

| Commodores Corner I hope all BYC Members had a safe and happy holiday season. It's a time of year I really enjoy. This is it, the last year of the millennium. I feel honored to serve as the BYC Commodore and Chief Executive in this historical year. I also look forward to hearing comments from club members on new progressive ideas towards keeping the club moving forward. Our new board members for 1999, Debra Bounds, Charles Hollis, Jr., and Dr. William Striegel will be a great asset to the Board. Dr. Striegel primarily representing sailing and sailboat racing, Debra's interest are in the ladies organizations and internal club activities, and Charles' focus is representing the power boaters of the club. We have a fantastic group of Board of Directors and Flag Officers of 1999, it will be a pleasure working with them. Let's all have a grand year at the BYC, come on down and support your club. Commodore, Mark Ederer |

Highlights of the meeting of the Board of Directors December 10, 1998 Commodore Jimmy Taylor gave a special thanks to Scotty Scott for having served on the Board for the last eleven years. The Commodore also thanked all out going Board members and Committee heads for all their work this past year. The Board approved the purchase of new planking for the pier to replace what was destroyed during Hurricane Georges, a new stainless steel stove for the kitchen, and a new po-boy press. Wayne J.
