January 2000 Linda Kletecka out-going President of the Ladies Auxiliary gave her farewell and welcome to the New Year. She installed the following new officers each with a fresh, pink long stem rose:

Jan Roberts - Treasurer

After receiving their duties, a good lunch was served. The New Commodore, Richard Schmidt did a good job as our guest speaker. He gave us his background and plans for the future of the Biloxi Yacht Club. #1 was to start the young sailors in sailing lessons to help our future Regatta's. He announced chairman & activities that will enhance the Yacht Club. His enthusiasm is bound to rub off on our members to make our Club have a successful year.

Next month when all members wives are eligible to attend our monthly meetings, we will have a program on Bonsai Display by Ray Blackwell of Ocean Springs.

Our Club adds a gift of accomplishments, friendships, pride and enjoyment.

All prospective members of the Biloxi Yacht Club will now meet with the membership committee prior to their vote on acceptance by the Board of Governors. Please advise your prospective members of this when you sign their applications.
